The tool I used for this assignment was Google Forms. This was my first time creating a quiz on this site. This tool is great for teachers to use as well as students. You are able to create a form on any topic of your choice and there is a variety of themes to choose from to customize it. There is are also options of many different types of questions you can use such as multiple choice, short answer, checkboxes, and paragraphs. This allows teachers to customize the form to their specific student needs. Students could also use this tool in a class where they have to create a survey and use student data. They could also create tests for themselves to practice for their real tests in class. Google forms is very customizable and easy to use and I will definitely be using it in my future classroom!
This tool fits into Domain 3 of Danielson's Framework. It is part of Instruction because teachers can use it to make sure students are on track with the concepts they are learning in class. It fits into 3c because it can help engage students in learning. It is a fun and different way to take a quiz or assessment and the teacher can create it in a way that is engaging for the specific students and also make it unique with a theme. Students might be more interested in taking a quiz on Google Forms instead of a paper and pencil quiz. It also fits in with 3d, which is using assessment in instruction. Google Forms is an easy and sufficient way to check for student comprehension, or create an entire unit test. It allows teachers to make a test in whichever form they would like, and it creates a simple way to make sure students understand the material.
I will be using this tool in my future classroom because it is simple to work with and so customizable. For my specific classroom, I may have low functioning students in my classroom, so I could make forms that are most useful for them. For example, if I am following a math curriculum in which the quizzes are too difficult for some of my students, I could make my own tests for them on Google Forms. Also, I could use this tool in the beginning of the year as a "get to know you" form. By doing this, I could develop an understanding of who my students are personally.
